ABSTRACT The present work is an automation project for the tensioning of newsprint that it is desired to implement in all the OFFSET Printing Spindles of the company of the Epensa Group and its purpose is to provide basic information for the development of systems of improvements, pointing to a The same purpose, the minimization of waste and waste in high quantities, which are generators of high costs, and contribute to the environment avoiding the undue use of tons of paper that is the main input of the process. For this, we will observe the large losses that EPENSA has for the purchase of inputs per year (as a reference), the unproductive time that is generated by the constant ruptures of the paper during the printing process and the regular final product that is obtained Before the improvement. The thesis will consist of four chapters, the first chapter will describe the antecedents, the actual and current situation of how the production lines were before the implementation of the paper tensioning system, the problematic reality that it generated during the printing process and The Formulation of the Problem to be able to perform the respective analysis, Description of the Justifications and the General Objectives and Specific Objectives in order to quantify and materialize the information and to properly generate the ideas for the development of the project. The Second Chapter will describe a Theoretical Framework, the description of basic concepts of lithography, the description of printing machines, the printing process (TMO), the terminology used in the development of the project and in the process of print. The Third Chapter will describe the developments of the stated objectives with the purpose of textualizing and graphing them, in order to be able to generate data and results and through them to make comparatives. The improvement can be quantified through graphs and comparative tables. The Fourth Chapter will describe the Results of the stated objectives, it will be possible to accede to the conclusions and recommendations of the work derived from the evaluation and analysis used.
