The main objective of this study was to validate the influence of the predisposition to use information and communication technologies (ICT) on consumer purchasing behavior in the city of Lima. For this, a theoretical framework was developed emphasizing the relevance of the use of new technologies for the choice and function of purchasing in physical and digital media. Likewise, the behavior adopted by consumers in recent times was investigated to make a correlation between both concepts and support the research topic. On the other hand, a quantitative methodology was used in which experts in the subject evaluated the prepared survey and its application to 240 people residing in Metropolitan Lima. The results obtained from the study specified that the influence of the consumer's predisposition to the use of ICTs (Information and Communication Technologies) does not influence the choice of the purchase channel. Geographical factors with little Internet access and the cost that accessing Internet service represents for some consumers are some of the reasons. On the other hand, demographic variables such as sex and age were found to have a significant impact on the consumer for the choice of the purchase channel. Finally, it was recommended and suggested to carry out a more exhaustive study of these last variables (Sex and age) to find better communication between companies and consumers with these variables. These factors are very relevant today and would help companies to achieve their objectives.
