The main objective of this work is to reduce unfulfilled orders in a company specialized in the production and marketing of women's footwear. For this purpose, the implementation of a management model using 5S tools, supplier evaluation and performance evaluation was proposed. In order to identify the problem, an analysis of the footwear production data was carried out, which revealed a notable decrease in the quantity manufactured. As a result, the company's sales decreased, with the sneaker line being the most affected. It was also determined that the problem is caused by defective products, time lost due to disorder and high operator turnover. Therefore, 5S and supplier evaluation were implemented to reduce defective products and time lost due to disorganization. These tools were applied in the footwear production area with the support of the logistics department. Additionally, to reduce employee turnover, performance evaluation was used. This included creating job profile sheets for hiring new operators, providing manufacturing procedure manuals, and conducting 360° evaluations. These actions were carried out with the support of human resources and the active participation of the operators. In conclusion, the implementation of the management model significantly reduced unfulfilled orders. This, in turn, contributed to reducing defective products, optimizing time by minimizing disorganization, and decreasing high employee turnover.
