Palacios & Asociados is a leading customs agency in the Peruvian market with more than 50 years offering an integral logistic service in the different jurisdictions of the country. Currently, it has established itself as one of the most important companies in the sector, being in the top 10 of the best customs agencies, always at the vanguard in terms of legislation, technology, and comprehensive advice. Among its latest advances is the restructuring of its IT platform (intranet and extranet), which is a fundamental pillar for its customs and administrative operations. However, certain challenges have been identified that may be limiting its growth in terms of digital transformation, specifically in terms of process automation in the commercial area, where it still does not have automated document management for better tracking of orders and/or requirements, evaluation and analysis of data, decision making, market trends, among other strategies. All of this being crucial to continue developing a good management in the coastal ports of the country and in front of the Chancay Megaport project, where it is expected to identify new potential customers and be more competitive. The objective of this study is to design an action plan to optimize the processes of the commercial area in relation to the Chancay Megaport, since it is expected to maintain the current and future client portfolio, as well as to have a good demand for customs services.
