Currently, the “retail“ sector is of great importance, since it is an area where there is a lot of competition between large companies, and it is also a sector where there are higher sales volumes than other sectors. This Project solved the low level of service in the preparation of orders at a distribution center in the mass consumption sector in Lima-Peru, based on a warehouse management model with which the ordering process was optimized in the distribution center. The objective of the project was to increase the level of service in the picking process in the distribution center by reducing the delay time, as well as reducing the number of orders not fulfilled due to lack of stock. For which a model was developed applying Lean Warehousing and industry 4.0 in the preparation of orders in a mass consumption distribution center. Since with these tools unnecessary trips were reduced through proper classification and distribution of stores, resulting in a reduction in the delay time in order preparation, it was also estimated to reduce the difference in inventories through a reduction in orders with more or fewer units and reduction in shipments of one product for another, resulting in a reduction in the number of orders not fulfilled due to lack of stock. As a main result, it was determined that the level of service in order preparation increased to 94.64%.
