The high standards in ports and logistics centers globally and in the Peruvian market today require the digitalization and automation of operations, using the latest technologies in their favor to ensure the level of productivity, provide quality service to customers and increase efficiency. In that sense, in the face of the boom in imports and exports that has been occurring in the country, operational errors and a deficit were identified in the process that has been occurring manually and mechanized, bringing with it long access times for the entry and exit of trucks and containers at the doors of the logistics company. With research and experience in other cases in the industry, a door operating system (GOS) was chosen, based on machine learning technology with optical character recognition and driver identity identification. This system is integrated into the company's appointment web platform so that trucks and containers can be registered and controlled, managing the process faster, safer, and more orderly. After the implementation of the intelligent access system for trucks and containers, the results showed a reduction in times by 75%. The operation of the business was optimized, a more efficient and automated process was obtained, manual processes and errors in information were eliminated, traffic congestion on the surrounding avenues was reduced, and the customer satisfaction rate was raised.
