During recent years in Peru, a notable economic recovery has been observed despite the impacts of the 2020 pandemic; however, this stage has been marked by the need for numerous companies to adapt to the changing demands of the market. In this context, an important company in the food sector has decided to review its manufacturing processes to evaluate its current situation and guarantee its competitiveness. The main objective of this work is to improve the production loss rate in the condiment line, by increasing the availability of the line, which implies the reduction of unplanned production interruptions. To achieve this, the implementation of the four main pillars of the TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) methodology is proposed, in conjunction with the 5's practices, which will allow mitigating the main causes of unplanned machinery interruptions. Once the proposed plan is implemented, an increase in availability can be seen, going from 81.6% to 86.65%, which will impact our OEE in a positive way, taking it from 77.95% to 83.61%. Finally, these results will bring about a decrease in 72.85 hours per month of unscheduled stops.
