In today's business environment, optimal inventory management is critical to the success of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). These organisations face the constant challenge of aligning their stock levels with fluctuations in market demand in order to maximise customer satisfaction and minimise operating costs. In this context, this research proposes a comprehensive model for the improvement of inventory management in a commercial SME, based on the synergy of three widely recognised methodologies: Systematic Layout Planning (SLP), Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and Demand Forecasting. This paper demonstrates that the integrated application of tools such as Demand Forecasting and EOQ optimises inventory planning and streamlines supply processes. Additionally, in order to maximise the benefits derived from the implementation of an optimal purchasing model, the implementation of the SLP methodology is proposed for an efficient management of warehouse space and products, which facilitates accurate stock control.
