This project aims to design a solution based on 5G FDD Dynamic Spectrum Sharing (5G DSS) technology on Sub-3Ghz bands (2600 Mhz) in provinces of Peru where is not allowed 5G deployment in full capacity due spectrum limitation in order to provide a viable alternative for operators who wants to deploy 5G considering current situation of the radio spectrum for C-band and make use of 4G spectrum sharing to provide 5G service. A qualitative and quantitative analysis of the present solution was taken into consideration in which it was found that, making use of existing hardware for the most part, taking advantage of the internal improvement works that operators perform in cellular base stations for maintenance or capacity expansion, as well as their concern and interest in reducing energy consumption and a comparison between deployment cost of new 5G NSA network against a 5G DSS network, it is possible to have the benefits of 5G without having to install a lot and expensive new equipment in the base stations. Thus, the results shown can demonstrate the feasibility and viability of 5G DSS technology use over the 4G 2600 Mhz band to provide 5G service in cities that cannot use the C band for such service.
