This work proposes the improvement of security and accessibility in the surroundings of the Juan Valer Sandoval school in the district of Villamaría del Triunfo. Making use of the Single Road Safety Diagnostic Format for School Environments (FUD) and the Accessibility Manual for Public Spaces of Madrid. Vulnerable users around the school are evaluated and then a checklist is prepared to carry out verifications during the field inspection. Next, all the information obtained from the checklist and the FUD was processed to proceed to identify the indicators to be evaluated, among them were found: high speeds, road environment, characterization of the road, characterization of the sidewalks, pedestrian crossings, road elements, heavy vehicles, entry and exit to the I.E and intersections. All these indicators were evaluated according to the current situation and with the proposal. In which, without the improvement, partial results of BAD and FAIR condition of the roads were obtained due to lack of pedestrian crossings, speed bumps, signage for school environments, incomplete sidewalks, lack of stops for schoolchildren, among others. Based on the critical guidelines, infrastructure improvements were made to guarantee safety and accessibility around the school. As a result, the GOOD status of the tracks was obtained.
