Currently, the construction sector shows one of the lowest performances compared to other sectors. One of the main problems is the lack of collaborative work between the stakeholders, that is, those involved in the different projects during the different stages of a project, the most important being the planning stage, since at this stage the rework costs have a lower cost compared to other stages. This is sought to be solved using a Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) model, which is a methodology that integrates digital planning, design, simulation, and management processes in construction projects. Using advanced software and 3D modeling tools such as BIM (Building Information Modeling), VDC allows construction teams to accurately visualize all aspects of a project before its physical execution. This anticipation optimizes processes, improves the accuracy of improving communication, and thus the resolution of incompatibilities is resolved in less time, allowing for better quality in the design and planning of works. The findings of this research support the effectiveness of using tools based on the VDC methodology, such as collaborative models, ICE sessions, and Lean Construction principles. These tools improve interaction and communication among team members. Thanks to the implementation of VDC, there was a 57% acceleration in the time required to resolve incompatibilities, enabling strategic continuous improvement planning. As a result, conflict resolution times and associated project costs are reduced
