The galvanizing process in the construction and metalworking sector aims to extend the useful life of structures for safety against natural phenomena and for the health of workers. This is applied under compliance with environmental regulations; The standard used is ASTM A123/A123M - Technical Standard for Zinc Coating (Hot Galvanized) for metals such as Iron and/or Steel. It is proposed to identify the reason for the delay in orders and decreased efficiency in quality control and packaging of the parts when they are prepared to be distributed. The objective of this thesis proposes the application of DMAIC for the delay of orders and the FMEA for the incidents identified in quality control, according to the theoretical framework, the implementation of both methodologies are ideal for the objectives outlined in the thesis, to For this purpose, the AHP methodology has been used, with which we have ratified the use of parallel methodologies. The execution of these methodologies in the project will be carried out in a single phase, applying the corrections with a work team that will be formed in the project, demonstrating that their application allows improving the lead time, which includes delays due to reprocessing of hot-dip galvanizing.
