In this thesis, an IT operational continuity plan design based on the ISO 27031:2011 standards and the NIST SP 800-34 guide has been developed for an automotive company, with the objective of having the best continuity strategies in the event of an interruption that affects the organization's critical processes and jeopardizes the achievement of the strategic objectives. The problematic situation of an automotive company, the problem to be solved and the specific objectives of the developed work are described in the first chapter. The second chapter provides theoretical information on the subject that was developed to help technically with the design of the continuity plan. In the third chapter, the problem analysis is supported by the business impact analysis where critical processes, service levels, impact levels and vital records are obtained, and the continuity risk analysis where threats, vulnerabilities, probability, impact and non-tolerable risks are assessed. It also shows the action plan to develop the design, the continuity strategies with their levels of compliance, the solution alternatives with their levels of investment and time. Finally, the test plan is drawn up to validate the design. In addition, the results obtained and the improvement plan in the event of a deviation in the validation are presented.
