This professional proficiency project aims to implement improvements in the document transfer process to the central file of the Private Investment Supervisor Organism in Telecommunications (OSIPTEL), proposing improvement alternatives where inconveniences arise due to poor order and management. At the same time, these new proposals seek to ensure that the entity can have optimal access to key information for the development of its functions. For this reason, after having investigated different bibliographic sources, we have identified theories or models that could be applied within the organization to provide a solution to the problem identified. Among these models are, for example, the Lean Management methodology, the 5S method, the Poka-yoke technique and document management. With the theories identified, a qualitative analysis was carried out, collecting information through the in-depth interviews executed in the central archive area. The result of the interviews with the area involved and the references obtained from the theoretical framework allowed us to get relevant information to identify improvement alternatives, selecting the one that will provide us not only the best benefits but also will allow us to address the problems identified in the document management process, so hopefully this work will help future studies with similar problems.
