The study focuses on the level of service of a company that distributes and markets mass consumer products, in which a level of 93.34% was recorded in 2023 and the company wishes to reach an indicator greater than or equal to 95%, being the internationally acceptable level for the sector. The implementation of the improvement proposal seeks to reduce unproductive times due to delays in product transfers and location, reduce merchandise quality errors due to incorrect handling and lack of prioritization of outgoing products and, finally, reduce merchandise control errors due to the absence of preventive counts in the company's veterinary product line. The Lean Warehousing methodology contributed to the improvement of efficient storage and inventory management to provide quality customer service. Among the tools used were the System Layout Planning (SLP), which reduced transfer delays; the 6S tool, which reduced product search delays and the moderation of defective products; the FEFO, which mitigated cases of expired or expiring products; and finally, the cyclical counts that allowed for an accurate record of stock inventory. The methodology was validated by means of a pilot plan, in which the level of service was monitored on a weekly basis, approaching the established goal.
