Structural Health Monitoring System in hospitals has emerged as a crucial discipline in the management of modern medical infrastructures. This system involves the use of advanced technologies, such as vibration sensors, seismic motion detectors, temperature and humidity monitoring systems, among others, to evaluate the integrity and stability of hospital buildings. The main objective of this work is to carry out a cost-benefit analysis of implementing this system at the Las Mercedes Regional Teaching Hospital located in Chiclayo. To do this, firstly, an investigation was carried out about the Structural Health Monitoring System and its types of sensors. Then, a spectral modal dynamic analysis of the structure was carried out to determine its parameters such as vibration modes, periods and displacements. Afterwards, the optimal locations and quantities of sensors to be used were proposed. Finally, the costs and benefits of implementing this system were evaluated, resulting in that implementing this system is equivalent to 3.25% of the total cost of the project.
