Currently, water storage tanks are essential elements within urban supply systems. However, in Peru, the absence of specific regulations for its design and analysis represents a significant challenge. In response to this need, this research aims to develop a structural design methodology based on the ACI 350.3 standard (American Concrete Institute [ACI], 2006). The study includes an analysis of the site, as well as the structural behavior of the tank against the dynamic forces generated by seismic movements of water. Aspects such as load capacity and resistance are addressed, considering the specific conditions of the environment. The results obtained are supported by stability and rigidity validations, which confirms the feasibility of the project. Ultimately, this research not only contributes to the development of safe and functional infrastructure in the drinking water supply sector, but also lays the foundation for future regulations and design practices in the country.
