The use of prefabricated elements in construction is known in Peru for its practicality. However, its commercial application is mainly limited to beams, joists, and pre-slabs. In industrial projects where plant downtime is crucial, such as in the case of UNACEM, the construction of complete buildings using prefabricated elements is chosen, guaranteeing the quality and speed of the project. However, during the execution of this work, factors affecting the guaranteed speed have been identified. These factors include changes in design, deficiencies in planning transportation to remote provinces, unfavorable weather conditions, and primarily, lack of coordination among project participants. Therefore, the implementation of 4D BIM is proposed in the construction of the new cooler building furnace 3 in Condorcocha, with the aim of improving the planning of prefabricated element assembly, preventing possible interferences. Thus, this simulation reduced the assembly process time by 33.33% compared to the time executed in the project, demonstrating that planning conducted through collaborative work optimizes assembly processes, helping to create more reliable schedules and thus guaranteeing the timely arrival of elements from the capital.
