The common problem suffered by most furniture manufacturing companies is low efficiency, specifically in the production area, due to unproductive times such as unexpected stops and long tool location times. In addition, efficiency is of vital importance for the company's profits since, if unproductive times are generated in the company's processes, this will be reflected in the profits and in the final product. Different authors have worked to solve several problems that affect the majority of SMEs in the furniture sector, of which several were effective. For this reason, this article proposes a combination of lean philosophy tools in order to increase productive efficiency. The technical tools of the lean methodology selected based on the reviewed literature were: 5S's to reduce tool location time, SMED to reduce setup time, and the autonomous maintenance pillar to reduce unexpected stops. This contribution consists of 3 phases, which are: Preliminary, development and closing. To support the model, the study used the pilot validation method in which it was shown that the model; improves efficiency by 5%, reduces edge change time by 46.2 min and improves availability due to breakdown by 81.20%. It can be seen that as a result of the proposal, unproductive times are reduced, representing a better possibility of competing and being more profitable in the market.
