This work addresses one of the problems faced by workshops of heavy machinery rental companies in Peru when dispatching equipment with mechanical failures or incomplete requirements for entry into mining, energy, road, construction, agricultural projects, etc. CGM Rental SAC, the company where this work was developed, experienced an increase in the number of observed dispatches, reaching a critical point in 2018, generating costs for lost profit, man-hours, materials, services, and freight totaling S/. 463,941.45; additionally failing to meet the minimum target (80%) for properly dispatched equipment, with a rate of 79%. Therefore, after analyzing the root causes, it was decided to implement three pillars of the TPM tool which were adjusted to the identified main causes of the poor dispatch problem. These three main pillars: Training and Education, Planned Maintenance, and Quality Maintenance, were implemented during the years 2019 and 2020. Finally, positive results were achieved, reducing the cost gap incurred by poor dispatches from S/. 463,941.45 in 2018 to S/. 76,000.00 in 2022; in addition to increasing the indicator from 79% in 2018 to 97.26% in 2022.
