The medical internship is the first pre-professional practice, where mistakes can still be made because we are human, but we must be aware of them and know how to correct them, as well as learn from them and not make them in the future. Value and respect for people is fundamental, because it does not matter if we are in a clinic, hospital or post office, our patients are still people. In the various rotations, both in the hospital and in the health center, the needs of the patients change as well as the health problems. Objective: to describe and analyze the clinical and surgical cases with the most significant teaching in pre-professional medical training to achieve an appropriate diagnosis and treatment, and reflect on the learning obtained. Methodology: descriptive and analytical study on cases evidenced by the medical intern who participated in their care, treatment and monitoring of the health facilities of the Santa Rosa Hospital and the Neighborhood Unit Health Center No.3. Clinical cases were selected according to significant learning for the internal. Results: description of 30 clinical cases selected from the rotations with data from anamnesis, physical examination, differential diagnoses, work plan, auxiliary examinations, treatment, follow-up and significant reflection of each one. Conclusions: the medical internship is a unique and significant experience, because it is our first step from students to future professionals. Each patient hospitalized or who comes for consultation gives us the opportunity to apply knowledge, skills and acquire decision-making.
