Peru has grapes throughout the year, benefiting from the period from December to March, a period in which the world supply decreases. The main grape importer is Germany (4,138.91 thousand TN). The Vine is a family of the Vitacea, it originated in the area located between the Caspian Sea and Asia Minor. In Peru the largest producing areas are Ica, La Libertad, Lima, Tacna, among others. The Vine is a perennial plant and has a vegetative period with annual harvests, starting to produce after the third year of installation. It requires a tropical and subtropical climate, with temperatures between 7 ° and 24 ° with a relative humidity of 70% or 80%, developing successfully in clay-loam soils. It reproduces by seeds or cuttings, layers and grafts.
