In the field of Management, this Professional Sufficiency Work (TSP) focuses on the study of the supply chain and its importance, especially regarding the procurement of products imported and marketed by the company. The object of study is a private entity dedicated to the importation and commercialization of medical devices for cardiovascular surgeries. The aim is to analyze the importance of supplier management, the risks of substitute products in the market, and the contingencies of customer dissatisfaction and their impact on the commercial, financial, and logistical management of a company. The structure of the work is divided into three chapters. The first presents the problematic situation at Cardiosalud. The second chapter addresses the theoretical framework, background, and justification of the topic. Finally, the third chapter provides an analysis of solution alternatives, such as improving demand forecasting, inventory optimization, implementing an efficient backorders system, diversifying suppliers, and enhancing customer and supplier relationship management.
