Objective: The objective of this study is to evaluate the association between the level of physical activity and musculoskeletal pain at the lumbar level in adult players of computer video games within the city of Metropolitan Lima. Methods: An analytical cross-sectional study was conducted with a total of 112 participants composed of video gamers over 18 years of age living in metropolitan Lima. Among the instruments, there is the general data collection questionnaire, the Nordic Kuorinka Questionnaire (NMQ), the Oswestry Low Back Disability Index and the International Physical Activity Questionnaire. Results: Of the 112 participants (Average: 21 years) 66.99% were male. 73.21% had low back pain and 64.29% performed vigorous physical activity. Of the 82 participants who had low back pain (Average: 14 to 730 hours), 95.12% presented pain 12 months ago, 55.13% associated pain with the amount of physical activity. The results show that there is no significant association between the main variables, however, it is found in the raw, adjusted model with a significant result in the comfort of the participants during play time, with those who are more comfortable being more likely to be suffering low back pain (P= 0.0001). Conclusion: No statistical association was found between the amount of physical activity that video gamers perform and low back pain. On the contrary, a significant association was found with respect to comfort during play time.
