The present research aimed to determine the relationship between academic coping and family support among university students during the COVID-19 pandemic in Metropolitan Lima. Additionally, it sought to identify differences in both variables according to age and gender. The study was quantitative in nature with a correlational design. The sample consisted of 140 university students of both sexes (70% women, 28.60% men), from the eighth to the tenth cycle. The Academic Coping Stress Scale (A-CEA) and the Family Relationship Assessment Scale (E.R.I.) were utilized. Results showed a positive and statistically significant correlation between the dimensions of positive reappraisal, seeking support, and planning of the academic stress coping variable with cohesion and support, and the expression of the family relationship variable (r between .38 and .51, p < .05). Likewise, a negative and statistically significant correlation was found with the dimension of family relationship difficulties (r between -.31 and -.18, p < .05). Regarding comparative analyses, no statistically significant differences were found when comparing the dimensions of academic stress coping and family relationships in terms of gender (p > .05). In summary, there is a positive correlation between academic stress and family relationships.
