The objective of this research was to explore the relationship between attachment styles and the dimensions of moral reasoning in young adults, as well as to identify differences in the mentioned constructs according to the sex of the participants. For this, a quantitative study with a correlational and comparative design corresponding to an associative strategy was proposed, with a sample of 191 people (71.7% women and 28.31% men), university students between 22 and 30 years old belonging to the Psychology career in Lima, Peru. The Relationship Questionnaire (RQ), the Moral Foundations Questionnaire (MFQ-30) and a sociodemographic questionnaire prepared ad hoc by the author were applied. A positive and statistically significant correlation was found between the secure attachment style and all dimensions of moral reasoning; while the devaluing attachment style was negatively associated with three dimensions of moral reasoning. Likewise, no differences were found based on sex in both variables. Finally, it is considered that the results found will allow us to know the importance of the secure attachment style in the development of moral reasoning. This is intended to promote the importance of the formation of secure bonds in people's ethical thinking.
