Currently, companies dedicated to the export of cocoa in Peru face a constant need: to ensure that temperature and humidity levels are kept adequate to reduce losses during transport. This challenge has led the agro-exporting company Amazonas Trading Peru S.A.C., a leader in this sector, to look for an effective solution. For this reason, the main objective of this study is to develop a proposal for a monitoring system supported by IoT architecture. This system is designed for Amazonas Trading Peru S.A.C. and is based on a network of sensors and devices connected to each other via IoT. These devices collect essential data, such as humidity and temperature, along the logistics route from Satipo to Callao, and regulate optimal humidity and temperature conditions automatically. The purpose of this monitoring system is to offer an effective solution to minimize losses during cocoa transport. In addition, it is expected to provide a secure and reliable means of storing and sharing cocoa quality data. This would provide an unprecedented level of transparency in the industry, allowing access to accurate and reliable information on temperature, temperature variation, relative humidity, and relative humidity variation of the product. Finally, Amazonas Trading Peru S.A.C. plays a fundamental role in identifying this problem and finding an efficient solution. The proposal for an IoT-based monitoring system not only addresses the company's particular needs in terms of reducing waste during transport, but also has the potential to increase transparency and confidence in the supply of cocoa.
