In Peru, the agro-export economy is experiencing post-pandemic revitalization, although it faces long-term challenges such as limited infrastructure, the need for technology and automation, as well as the implementation of sustainable policies and adaptation to labor legislative changes. This study focuses on evaluating the impact of the COSO ERM 2017 model on the business management of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the agro-export sector of Ica in 2022, with the aim of preparing them to address these challenges. The research is structured in six sections. The Theoretical Framework reviews background information on the COSO ERM 2017 model and describes the agro-export sector of Ica in 2022. The Research Plan in Chapter II presents the problems, objectives and hypotheses. Chapter III, Research Methodology, details a correlational cross-sectional non-experimental explanatory methodology, along with the sample for qualitative and quantitative analysis. In Chapter IV, Research Development, interviews and surveys are described. Chapter V, Analysis of Results, includes conclusions and recommendations derived from the information collected. This study will provide a deeper understanding of how the COSO ERM 2017 model can influence the business management of agro-export SMEs, thus contributing to their adaptation and growth in a challenging environment.
