Risk management within project management allows companies to reduce the probability of negative events occurring, while maximizing the probability of success and achievement of a project and company objectives. In the context of project management, it is crucial to explore contemporary perspectives around risk management. The general objective is to explain the perspectives of the application of risk management in project management. To do this, qualitative research was carried out, identifying the main positions through the analysis of 31 articles published in high-ranking academic journals. impact (Q1 and Q2 quartiles according to the Journal Citation Reports and Scimago) with an age of no more than five years. This information seeks to shed light on how to address risks in project management and counter them effectively. For information processing, four matrices were used, which are detailed in the annexes. It is relevant to mention that, in the preparation of this Professional Sufficiency Work (TSP), the parameters and guidelines established by the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences will be considered. The results of the study indicate that correct risk management in projects requires a commitment from senior management, as well as shareholders and executives. Adopting an approach based on stakeholder management and corporate social responsibility is presented as a solid foundation to successfully address risks in project management.
