The main objective of this research is to determine the relationship between virtual reality and the growth of e-commerce in the retail sector in the city of Lima, during 2022. The theme in question was chosen, due to the great increase in the application of immersive technologies in companies worldwide. The research was non-experimental - a cross-sectional study was carried out, with a correlational scope and a quantitative approach. The research sample consisted of 378 companies in the retail sector. To analyze the first Virtual Reality variable a questionnaire of 14 questions was used, this survey was conducted based on the Technology Acceptance Model by the author Davis (1989); In the case of the second variable Growth of Electronic Commerce, a questionnaire of 18 questions by the author Portuese (2006) was used. The data obtained were analyzed in the SPSS statistical software where the information was reviewed, and the hypotheses were validated. According to the results obtained, it could be concluded there is a positive relationship between the virtual reality variable and the growth of e-commerce, as well as between the dimensions of virtual reality with the growth of e-commerce. In this way, it is concluded that virtual reality has a positive relationship with the growth of e-commerce in the retail sector in the city of Lima, 2022. Finally, recommendations are made for the future implementation of virtual reality in the retail sector, in such a way that it can generate opportunities and benefits for these companies.
