Productivity is a basic indicator to demonstrate whether a company is on the path to efficiency and in search of world-class operations. The post-pandemic consequences left us with negative impacts in various sectors and the retail sector was one of those that reflects this fact today. Losses of -13% have been recorded in the first quarter of 2023 compared to the first quarter of 2022, amounting to approximately $309,691 million, due to the lower excess liquidity due to the reduction of incentives or levers generated in 2022 such as the release of funds from pensions, CTS, bonuses and others. The purpose of this sufficiency work was to analyze and use Industrial engineering methodologies to solve the problem identified as low productivity in the dispatch process of the retail company, where overtime costs of S/.190 have been identified. 000 soles, in addition to rejection of orders due to late deliveries for S/. 1,978,000 soles and finally rejections for deliveries of incomplete orders for S/. 125,430 soles. The proposed analysis seeks to review the process, looking for opportunities to improve standardization, productivity analysis, identifying the optimal role within the operation to reduce overtime and therefore making an agile and flexible world-class supply chain efficient.
