The basis of this study is found in the previous research carried out by the authors, which has been called “Design of a manufacturing model to improve the efficiency of Mypes through the Lean-TOC methodology” Chavez et al. (2020), which has as its context the application of Lean and TOC tools in a Mype dedicated to the production of melamine furniture. There are various public and private sources that support the importance of Mypes in the development of a country, whether in the economic or social sphere. In Peru, this category of companies has high direct competition where the delivery time of the product to the customer is valued, which is negatively affected by low efficiency in the production process. Through this research, a methodology based on Lean Manufacturing (LM) and Theory of Constraints (TOC) adapted for companies with limited resources was proposed. This methodology lays out the bases for the correct use of improvement tools focused on mitigating the consequences generated by bottlenecks in order to reduce the required investment but maximizing the positive impact on production indicators. The development of the methodology was carried out and validated through the use of a discrete data simulator known as Arena; obtaining the post-improvement values of the production indicators established to measure the impact of the proposed improvements. The new efficiency calculated after the post-improvement increased to 50.05% and this result supports the application of the proposed methodology.
