This work arises from the lack of sustainable paving alternatives for low traffic volume country roads in the Amazon region, due to the high costs of transportation and earthmoving associated with conventional paving methods and the scarcity of natural resources in the area to supply this type of projects, so this research proposes a pavement structure composed of a stabilized base with a BS-100 type stabilizing additive as a wearing course for this type of roads. A technical-economic analysis of a public investment project was carried out, comparing the application of the conventional paving method applied in the study area and the proposal of paving with a stabilized base with BS-100 stabilizing additive analyzed in this research, in which it was verified that both alternatives meet the structural criteria necessary to satisfy the existing and attracted demand of the project. Likewise, analyzing the proposed alternative, a great 71.52% decrease in the direct cost of the project was evidenced in comparison with the conventional paving method, a reduction of 33% in the execution time and an optimal use of natural resources, evidencing the viability of this proposal for future projects that allow the development and facilitate the intercommunication between towns in the Amazon region.
