The purpose of this study is to obtain mathematical models, with which it is possible to know the factors (causes) that are most relevant to the occurrence of occupational accidents during the execution of building projects of medium and small construction companies in metropolitan Lima, in order to predict and reduce their accident rate. To this end, a study of the various factors existing in the presence of accidents in a sample of small and medium-sized companies dedicated to the construction industry was carried out, taking into account the different rules and regulations, such as: Occupational Safety and Health Law No. 29783, NTP G-050, Supreme Decree and Ministerial Resolution. Subsequently, two formats were developed to be used as data collection tools, one of the E1 interview type and the other of the C1 survey type. The E1 form was sent to a representative of the safety area of the companies in the sample in order to obtain data on the causes and severity of the accidents recorded during the execution of their last building construction project; With the data obtained and through the advice of two professionals specialized in the area of Occupational Safety and Health, the C1 Format was developed, which is a tool to give quantitative value to the factors and/or causes of the accidents recorded in the analyzed projects of the sample population. This form was sent back to the representatives of the OSH area of the companies to have quantitative data and proceed to order them to enter it into the InfoStat computer program, which will result in the representative mathematical models for the accidents that occurred and were recorded in the companies in the sample. Once the mathematical formulas were obtained, a proposal was created to reduce the number of accidents on site, this consisted of tools that will reinforce the Health and Safety Plans of the new building projects to be executed by the companies studied and to measure the efficiency of this proposal, the accidents that occurred in the new projects were re-evaluated. 6 months after its execution began, resulting in a lower number of accidents occurring in the construction works of buildings executed by small and medium-sized representative companies in Metropolitan Lima.
