The "Gyratory Crusher Assembly" project, the main equipment for Primary Crushing in an Oxide Sulfide Plant for the extraction of Copper in a Mining Unit, this project was part of a program that arose from the need to expand one of the main activities of the country, thus contributing to the mining sector being one of the pillars of the Peruvian economy and its exports. During the execution phase, non-conformities were identified in the management of the schedule and the quality management of the project caused mainly by deviations in the formulation of the processes to define the activities, estimate the duration of the activities and plan the management of quality. This research work proposes improvements in the planning processes of schedule management and in the planning and execution processes of quality management considering the PMBOK® guide, sixth edition, for future similar projects through the application of the Deming cycle. (PDCA) with the aim of avoiding non-conformities or other undesirable situations. This research work will contribute to managing and directing similar electromechanical assembly projects in an optimal way, with efficiency and effectiveness, seeking to complete the project according to the planned schedule, respecting cost and quality aspects.
