Based on the incidence of diet culture, it was sought to determine the relationship between the factors of intuitive eating by applying the model of Saunders et al. (2018) and body appreciation in 99 women between 18 and 30 years old who practice dancing. For data collection, intentional non-probabilistic sampling with a simple correlational design was used, and the Intuitive Eating-2 (IES-2) and Body Appreciation-2 (BAS-2) scales were applied. The results show that body appreciation has a highly significant relationship with two factors of Intuitive Eating: eating for physical reasons instead of emotional ones (r= .41; p < .001), and with listening to internal hunger signals. and satiety (r= .28; p < .01), but poor congruence between bodily needs and food choice (r=.15; p > .05). It is concluded that body appreciation acquires a relevant role that encourages or does not promote the presence of intuitive eating in dancers. Based on the contextual limitations identified, for future studies, it is recommended to consider a larger sample, and qualitative research is suggested to understand the subjective experiences of the participants.
