The following research suggest to analyze the construction of the discourse on the female role in a selection of segments of television sports programs between the period 2017 and 2022. This objective is obtained by the exploration from a compilation of audiovisual segments. For this study, we began with the review of background and concepts from previous research. The researched concepts helped to define the categories to perceive the content analysis components. These categories are differentiated between gender roles: the male role (Exercise of protagonism, objectification and aggression towards women) and the female role (Exercise of protagonism, response to objectification and response to aggression). The method was the investigation of eight segments of four television and digital media in Peru in which there are differences in the interactions between male and female participants. The selection is considered representative in sports journalism because it coincides at the time of the growth of female participation in the programs. The study concludes that the discourse of the segments in the representative cases of sports programs has many sexism manifestations reflected in the subordination of female participation, objectification and aggression.
