The objective of this research is to reduce non-fulfillment of customer orders in an SME company in the food sector specialized in chocolates. In this sense, after the analysis based on indicators such as compliance rate and comparatives, it was determined that among the direct causes is the inadequate planning of purchase orders, either the dates on which they are made or the quantity, which results in an imbalance in the inventory management of the food company or even extra expenses for each purchase order that must be made extra or after the deadline. Likewise, it was determined that the delay of the suppliers is another cause of the delay or non-fulfillment of the orders on time. This is the result of inadequate management to select the most suitable supplier, since old suppliers are usually considered, and new ones are not evaluated, or new criteria are considered. In this sense, the investigation of different solutions that solved the problem of the present work was carried out. In this case, a management model based on MRP was selected, focused on the management of supplies and resources; and the AHP technique for supplier management. The objective of this model is to reduce order breaches by 10.4% compared to orders placed and, therefore, preserve supplier loyalty and customer loyalty.
