The growing interest of consumers in healthy eating has driven an increased demand for organic products and transparency in the food chain, motivating the industry to implement measures to produce ethical and sustainable food. The objective of this research is to analyze the perception of advertising specialists in Lima regarding the visual representation of sustainable advertising promoting the use of organic ingredients in products in the advertisement “The beauty of having no artificial preservatives“ of Burger King's “Moldy Whopper“ campaign. In this context, an analysis was carried out in Lima on sustainable advertising in the aforementioned campaign, which was based on 17 qualitative interviews with advertising experts, using a guide of semi-structured questions. The case study method and collection techniques, such as interviews and observation, were applied. The findings highlight the importance of consistency and authenticity in sustainable campaigns, underlining the need to avoid greenwashing. Likewise, caution in the use of emotions and the presentation of unpleasant images is highlighted. It is concluded that authentic messages generate satisfaction and strong connections with the brand. In addition, challenges were identified, such as resistance to change and the need to understand the target audience. Although Burger King's “Moldy Whopper“ campaign is recognized as bold and creative in sustainable advertising, it raises the possibility that it is more geared toward the advertising industry than consumer needs.
