The BRCGS Global Food Safety Standard (BRC GS FS) is a certification intended for the food industry as it seeks to demonstrate the responsibility of an organization in providing healthy and safe food to its consumers as it helps to control, maintain and continually improve its system. of food safety. Regardless of size, the “BRC GS FS” is suitable for all types of food handlers globally. The main objective of this document is to determine to what extent obtaining the “BRC GS FS” certification is related to the export performance of Peruvian agro-export companies, between the years 2020-2022. Therefore, the dimensions analyzed for the variable “BRC GS FS Certification” are: “Food Safety”, “Food Quality” and “Good Hygiene Practices”. In addition, the variable “Export Performance” analyzed “Sales Growth”, “Market Share” and “Exported Volume”. The study approach was mixed with a descriptive cross-sectional – correlational design. For the qualitative phase, 11 semi-structured interviews were conducted with experts on topics related to the “BRC GS FS” and agro-export companies. These data were evaluated in the Atlas Ti tool. For the quantitative phase, Likert scale surveys were developed, these were filled out by 29 agro-export companies, the responses were processed through SPSS software. Finally, the significance value is 0.000 and the Rho Spearman coefficient is 0.717, maintaining that there is a high positive correlation between the independent and dependent variables. Likewise, the relationship of the dimensions with export performance was developed.
