This article proposes a model to improve the inventory management that occurs in an automotive warehouse, whose purpose seeks to increase its efficiency through optimal stock operation. The importance is to take advantage of the benefits offered by the application of an inventory model with Winters demand forecasting and an EOQ system for economic quantity optimization supported by the Standard Work tool as an opportunity for improvement to solve the current situation presented by the company. These efforts fall mainly on ensuring an adequate rotation of inventories, the criterion for the management of purchases and loyalty of timely information, whose motivation serves to generate less significant economic losses for the company. Therefore, the contribution of this scenario compromises the tentative application of the PDCA approach by integrating an EOQ and Standard Work system as an alternative solution to increase delivery compliance, minimize storage costs and reduce its causes that evidence the facts of this case study. Facts that as a main result allowed to increase delivery compliance by 18% and generating an improvement in its inventory management of 42%. Consequently, these techniques address the improvements allowing to consolidate the results causing economic savings for the reduction of its economic impact and profitability of the company.
