This research addresses a deficiency in delivery scheduling in an organization, specifically in the distribution area. A problem has been identified that affects the delivery of shipments due to the inadequate assignment of units to clients, generating rescheduling and delays. Poor communication between the commercial area and customer service has been highlighted as an underlying cause. The organization operates in three interconnected areas in its supply chain: commercial area, Customer Service and the distribution area. Each of these areas plays an essential role in the distribution process. The evaluation of alternatives, among which task automation in conjunction with the Esker system stood out as the most promising, was carried out with the aim of addressing these deficiencies. Significant conclusions have been obtained. First of all, it was highlighted that the choice of task automation with Esker is aligned with the strategic objectives of “Reckitt”, as it promises improvements in operational efficiency, delivery accuracy and customer satisfaction. Furthermore, the financial viability of this investment is based on the perspective of a return on investment in the medium and long term. This research lays the foundation to address the deficiencies in “Reckitt” delivery scheduling and improve its operational efficiency, which will ultimately result in greater customer satisfaction through the implementation of task automation together with the Esker system.
