Transportation and distribution can have repercussions on logistics costs, helping to improve a company's competitive capabilities. The San Fernando Company has been taken as a study source, in which it has been identified that the logistics costs of transportation and distribution have been increasing, harming the generation of value of the company's products, being risky for its competitiveness and profitability. Therefore, the next goal was to propose strategies to improve transportation and distribution costs through the redesign of the Distribution Network and the use of Lean tools. The benefits of our proposed solution were achieved for our case study, and similar results were obtained in other companies in the same field. The theoretical and technical information necessary to understand the lean manufacturing methodology used in distribution processes or also known as Lean Distribution for its English translation will be detailed. The solution proposal is based on the redesign of the Distribution Network and the implementation of Lean tools, which are directly related to the main causes of the problem and allow the mitigation of their operational and economic waste, achieving an increase in its OTIF of 5%, thus respecting and being within the goal expected by the company and the technical gap raised. At the end of the project, the corresponding conclusions and the projected annual savings are shown.
