As technology progresses, the integration of electronics, computing, and fashion has ushered in a new era of smart clothing, where technical functionalities complement the design of garments. The choice of an outfit no longer solely depends on its design or color; now, the embedded functionalities play a pivotal role in the decision-making process. This convergence of fashion, electronics, and software offers a wide range of future applications and necessitates strategic planning. Hence, there arises the need for a Roadmap of smart clothing projects. The primary aim of this work is to present a Roadmap that outlines eight essential projects in the realm of smart clothing from 2022 to 2032. Through a methodology, this Roadmap highlights emerging trends and offers a blueprint for future development in the domain of Smart Clothing. To develop this Roadmap, five critical phases are employed: trend analysis and selection, a study of the state-of-the-art in smart clothing, detailed design of each project, thorough validation of project feasibility and profitability, and finally, the formulation of the roadmap itself. This structure ensures systematic and robust planning that will guide innovation in the smart clothing industry over the next decade.
