The international logistics management process during 2022 suffered a global drop in terms of its level of supply to commerce. This reality was reflected in the reduction in the efficiency of maintenance processes that increased its supply hours, producing stops that affected the world movement. It is therefore critical to search for new work methods in maintenance that increase efficiency by reducing stops and their effect on the chain. This research presents the implementation of a model based on two engineering tools, TPM and process standardization, with the aim of increasing the efficiency of the waste container maintenance process in a company in the metalworking industry. The efficiency of the model is verified with the results of the application of a pilot that demonstrates the effect of savings in reprocessing, material delays and unproductive times on efficiency. It is concluded that the proposed model is successful in achieving the objectives of increasing efficiency.
