The study presented below aims to show the proposal of the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodology in the operation of air conditioning equipment in the Operations Room. Chapter I presents the theoretical framework describing the analysis of the health sector in Peru, mainly Metropolitan Lima, the concepts of maintenance, quality tools and the state of the art where all current knowledge is developed for the choice of methodology. Next, chapter II explains the current situation of the company in which the problem of untimely shutdowns of air conditioning equipment is identified. This will allow the economic impact to be determined, divided into costs for rescheduling and risk to the patient's health. Subsequently, each of the main causes of the problem is determined and prioritized. Chapter III proceeds to provide a solution to the problem posed. That is, apply the RCM methodology to maintenance management. A new maintenance program and an As Is and To be financial economic evaluation are prepared to determine the viability of the improvement proposal. In chapter IV the simulation is developed validating the proposed proposal. Likewise, the viability of said implementation is evaluated with the cash flow and its behavior with the sensitivity analysis.
