This work mentions an innovation project that shows the development of emotional awareness and socio-emotional skills in boys and girls aged 3 to 4 years, based on a problem that was observed in a small group of the Monteflor Educational Institution.Through the application of exploration instruments, it was analyzed that in the 3 to 4 year old classroom there is little recognition and expression of primary emotions (joy, sadness, anger, fear and surprise). This is due to several points that were found: the repetitive application of strategies such as the emotionmeter, emotion bits, reading the story 'The Color Monster', among others. Another point is that they show little enthusiasm, discouraged, and little motivated when carrying out activities at certain times of their school day. They mention that they feel reluctant, they would like to be home, they want to be with their mother or father, among other expressions. In addition, they feel little loved by others, whether by teachers or their own peers. This makes them feel annoyed or sad, because they do not like calls for attention when they are breaking rules or doing something incorrect, such as interrupting when someone is speaking, distracting their classmates when they are doing an activity, etc. Based on what was mentioned in the previous paragraph, we have proposed four milestones within the project along with their learning achievements. At the final milestone, the following achievement is found: At the end of the final milestone, the child applies three emotional strategies: a collage, two playful activities of body and gestural expression, and a playful game to recognize and express in a timely manner their primary emotions in their school day. While in milestone 1, their achievement is: At the end of milestone 1 the student identifies the primary emotions (joy, sadness, anger, fear and surprise) associating each emotion with textures and colors that they express through a collage. In milestone 2, the following achievement is achieved: At the end of milestone 2, the student reproduces and imitates the five primary emotions through two playful activities of body and gestural expression. Finally, in milestone 3 is the achievement: At the end of milestone 3, the student knows the primary emotions in a timely manner and recognizes them through a playful game. Within each milestone it includes two weeks of implementation, giving a total of eight weeks of duration of the educational innovation project. Finally, what we hope in the results of this project is that children will be able to recognize and assertively express their primary emotions such as happiness, sadness, anger, fear and surprise, by working on the topic of emotions in a playful way where the emotional strategies that applied in the classroom are different at all times to efficiently, with the final purpose to bring them security and interaction with the others.
