Objective: To compare the perception and use of digital technologies in clinical practice among dentists belonging to generations X, Y, and Z. Methods: The study design was observational, analytical and cross-sectional. The sample size was 198 dentists belonging to the public or private sectors of Lima, Peru. 2 surveys were used consist of 32 questions in total, divided into 2 sections. A pilot test was carried out with 21 participants in total, where Cronbach's alpha was 0.97 and the Kuder Richardson value was 0.78. Absolute and relative frequencies were obtained for the univariate analysis and for comparisons, Fisher's exact test was used after checking the statistical assumptions. Results: It was found that all Generation X respondents “disagreed“ with the premise that digital technologies in practice are easier to use. While the majority of dentists who were “agree“ were from generation Y (56.91%). Generation Y predominated with a high use of digital technologies as opposed to generations X and Z. Conclusion: Finally, differences were found in the perception and use of digital technologies in clinical practice among dentists belonging to generations X, Y, and Z.
