The object of study of this work is an international software factory with a subsidiary in the Peruvian market, which needs to solve some problems in its software development processes that are causing financial losses and affecting its reputation due to the lack of quality in the delivered product to its clients. In recent years, the software company has experienced revenue losses in various projects due to deficiencies in project management and software development implementation. Based on the analysis conducted, we have identified issues such as requirements gathering, estimation, technical solution detailing, implementation, and testing processes. All described issues result in additional hours needed to complete the projects and obtain user satisfaction. Based on the analysis of mentioned issues above and after comparing different quality models and standards in the industry, where one of the main selection criteria was corporate alignment, we propose improvements in software development processes by applying the CMMI DEV 2.0 Level 2. The proposal identifies the practical areas that need improvement, processes to be enhanced, and artifacts to be included. Finally, after conducting a financial evaluation, we conclude that the proposal is feasible, demonstrating profitability and a significant cost reduction contribution over a period of 4 years. Additionally, it should be noted that this proposal is aligned with the corporate strategic objectives, aiming to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of services to clients
