Currently, greater importance is being given to the accessibility of audiovisual media, especially in streaming platforms. In relation to the science fiction film genre, it is recognized that it exploits a complex narrative through its non-verbal elements. In the present study, the audiodescriptions in British English and Spanish of the Beyond the Sea chapter of the science fiction series Black Mirror (2023) available on the Netflix platform will be analyzed. A contrastive analysis between both audiodescriptions will be conducted for this research in order to recognize trends and differences in the audio description scripts. For such reasons, a content analysis of the visual channel of the scenes with nonverbal elements and a textual analysis of the audio description scripts will be conducted to determine the audio description style and techniques employed for the development of the audio description scripts in the science fiction genre.
